Oliver Harris was born in London in 1978. He has an MA in Shakespeare studies from UCL, and a PhD in psychoanalysis from Birkbeck. He is the author of the Nick Belsey series of crime novels, as well one work of non-fiction: Lacan’s Return to Antiquity. His new series features the private intelligence officer, Elliot Kane. A Shadow Intelligence was published in May 2019 by Little Brown. His upcoming book, Ascension, will be published in July 2021 by Little, Brown. He writes occasionally for the Times Literary Supplement.
