Anna Hoghton is a graduate of the Bath Spa MA in Writing for Young People. She is half-Irish and grew up in Bristol where she now lives with her Californian husband and their little boy. Travel has always been important to Anna and inspired her stories.
Anna’s debut novel, The Mask of Aribella, is set in a magical version of Venice. It won the 2021 Weald Book Award and the 2020 North Somerset Teacher’s Book Prize. Her second novel is based in a wild and mythical Ireland. She is an award-winning short filmmaker and poet and, in her day job, has written copy on everything from sofas to software.
