Bhanu Kapil was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2022. Her most recent book, How To Wash A Heart (Liverpool University Press), won the T.S. Eliot Prize and was a Poetry Book Society Choice. Kapil lives and writes in Cambridge, where she is a Fellow of Churchill College. The recipient of a Windham-Campbell Prize and a Cholmondeley Award, both for poetry, she is the author of six full-length collections. In 2023, her book, Incubation: A Space for Monsters, first published in 2006 which incorporates poetry and prose was published for the first time in the UK by Prototype and in a different edition by Kelsey Street Press.
