A pillow book of poems, dreams and stories, a beautiful object to own, a piece of art, to gift.
These prose poems, thoughts, dreams were typed directly onto gold leaf, feathers and leaves, then photographed in sunlight and printed on special paper.
Jackie used a typewriter in order to accentuate the need to pay attention to minute things, fitting words around the shape, (typing actually on feathers and leaves, there is only one chance to get it right). It’s about finding creative ways to take control and give the reader some respite to breath, shifting the focus to find in that space a kind of peace.
