Lauren Mooney

Lauren Mooney is a working-class writer from the East Midlands, now based in South London. She has recently completed her first novel. Since 2015, she’s co-run award-winning Kandinsky Theatre Company with James Yeatman, where her credits as a writer and dramaturg include shows at the Royal Exchange Manchester, New Diorama London, Schaubühne Berlin and Schauspielhaus Wien. Before going freelance, she worked for Clean Break Theatre Company, where she co-edited their monologue collection Rebel Voices (Methuen, 2019). She is a graduate of the University of East Anglia’s Creative Writing (Prose) MA and the Royal Court Writers Group. She has also written about arts and culture for Exeunt, The Stage and The Guardian, and co-writes audio drama for Big Finish with her husband, Stewart Pringle.
