Briar White
Briar is an artist currently based in the Scottish Highlands. They grew up in the Cotswolds where they developed highly distinguished passions including hunting for fairies, writing dolphin poetry and drawing Zelda fan art. Briar studied 2D animation in Cardiff, where they often stayed up far too late animating vampires. Since then, they have enjoyed working as an artist both for studios and as a freelancer.
Briar is happiest when creating comics or bringing their characters to life (not in a necromancy way, much to their dismay). They tend to communicate a lot of what floats around in their brain through art, so much of their recent work has blended topics such as queerness, mental health, and burnout with the fantasy and horror worlds they love inhabiting.
If you can’t find Briar drawing frantically at their desk at midnight, they will likely be playing D&D, reading a gay book, writing more ideas down, or running around outside in the mists hoping to at last be taken as a vampire’s thrall or a hag’s assistant. Either is fine, Briar is not fussy.
