Dr. Ciarán O’Keeffe is a chartered Psychologist and Dean of the College of Health & Society at Buckinghamshire New University.

He is an applied psychologist with expertise in Parapsychology and Investigative Psychology, a sub-discipline of Forensic Psychology. His paranormal research has focussed on fieldwork examining haunting experiences. He is fascinated by events that fall outside of the strictures of ‘traditional’ science: mediumship, exorcism, possession, miracles, and stigmata.

Dr. O’Keeffe is brought in on cases for his sceptical voice, one that recognises the breadth of human experience and the limits of our understanding, whilst all the same attempting to situate these experiences within the realm of the observable. Providing his expert psychological input in various television shows that explore the paranormal, he has appeared in Uncanny, Most Haunted, Ghost Adventurers, Celebrity Ghost Hunt Live, and Unexplained: Caught on Camera. Over the past few years he has been working with award-winning writer, broadcaster, Danny Robins, on several highly successful podcasts: The Battersea Poltergeist; The Witch Farm and, more recently, Uncanny.
