Presented by Harrogate International Festivals, the award celebrates the very best in crime fiction across the UK and Ireland, championing storytelling that chills, captivates and inspires. A highlight in the literary calendar, it is recognised as one of the most prestigious accolades in the crime fiction genre. Past winners include Lee Child, Val McDermid, and most recently, 2025’s winner, Abir Mukherjee.
