Before becoming a novelist and ghostwriter, Kirsty Crawford was a successful publisher and commissioning editor, becoming Publishing Director of William Heinemann. She commissioned, among many others, first novels from Santa Montefiore, Eva Rice, Scarlett Thomas and Louise Candlish. She is now a freelance editor and writer, and has ghostwritten for many famous names, including for politicians, businessmen, actors, comedians and aristocrats, even for fictional television characters, skilfully capturing the voices of her subjects and telling their stories with verve and clarity. She is the author of two novels under her own name, Other Women, published by Orion in 2005, and The Secret Life of Husbands, published by Orion in 2007.
