George Green was born in Dublin in 1956 and brought up in Tipperary, where he lived in a house built on an ancient burial mound. His first novel Hound, was published by Bantam Press in 2003 and the prequel Hawk was published in August 2005. He works for Lancaster University Dept of English and Creative Writing, and is currently working on a book about Westerns.
