Belinda Hollyer was born in New Zealand. She lived in the Lebanon and Australia, but spent most of her life in London. She died in 2015.
Belinda worked as a teacher, a teacher-librarian and a book publisher – and eventually as a writer (mostly for children).
She edited various poetry anthologies including You’re the Best, Haven’t You Grown, and She’s All That! which was selected by Child Education & Junior Education as one of the “Best Books of the Year” and by the American Library Association as a “Children’s Notable Book”.
Belinda’s first novel, The Truth about Josie Green was published by Orchard Books and was followed by Secrets, Lies and My Sister Kate, River Song and Everything I Know About You.
