Brian Viner is a writer and journalist, and film critic for the Daily Mail. He is the author of seven books: Tales of the Country (2005), recently adapted for the stage by Nick Warburton; Ali, Pelé, Lillee and Me (2006); The Pheasants’ Revolt (2007); Nice to See It, To See It, Nice (2009); Cream Teas, Traffic Jams and Sunburn (2011), which was named Best Narrative Travel Book at the 2011 British Travel Press Awards; and The Good, the Dad and the Ugly (2013), a book about fatherhood. His most recent book is Looking for the Toffees, about the 1977/78 Everton football team.
He is married to the novelist Jane Sanderson and lives with his family in Herefordshire.
