Vanessa Walters
Vanessa Walters was born and raised in London. She has a background in international journalism and playwriting, and has staged plays throughout the UK, notably Michael X (Almeida Theatre, 2021). Among other accolades, Vanessa is a Tin House resident, a Millay Colony resident, and was published in HarperCollins’ anthology, Relations, in 2023. She is also the author of three previous novels for young adults: Ride Girls, Best Things in Life, and Smoke! Othello! published by Pan Macmillan.
Vanessa currently lives in Brooklyn. When not writing or parenting, her hobbies are walking, reading, dancing, keeping up with the Real Housewives, and managing her natural hair journey. The Lagos Wife, Vanessa’s debut adult novel, was published by Cornerstone in February 2024.
