Alona Ferber is a journalist and writer based in London with roots and expertise in the Middle East. Formerly a reporter and senior editor at the Haaretz daily, based in Tel Aviv, she has reported extensively on the Israel-Palestine conflict. Now a senior editor at Prospect Magazine, the British current affairs monthly, Alona’s writing has also appeared in publications including the New Statesman, New Lines Magazine, The New Humanist, the Independent, Spiegel Online, the Forward and The Persistent. In 2013 she was awarded an IJP Ernst Kramer and Teddy Kollek Fellowship, spending time at Der Spiegel‘s political bureau in Berlin.

Alona writes a weekly(ish) newsletter called The Backlash, about this moment in the struggle for gender equality. She co-hosts the weekly Prospect Podcast, has contributed as a commentator to outlets such as LBC and the BBC. She regularly chairs events and panels with leading writers, thinkers and public figures.
