Anna Brook-Mitchell

Anna Brook-Mitchell is a BAFTA Rocliffe Comedy-winning writer, actor and filmmaker. Her BBC Comedy Short Film, Man Eater – written with her screenwriting partner, Angela Nesi – TX’d on BBC Three in 2023 and was selected for Raindance 2024 as part of the Nova Express Shorts Programme. The idea is currently being developed into a feature film alongside other projects. Anna and Angela also produce, write, direct and perform in their own short films.

As an actor, Anna’s most surreal moments include doing a full dance rehearsal whilst a pack of sniffer dogs scurried about the stage, voicing YouTuber DanTDM’s robot sidekick Melbot to a sold-out Wembley Arena and – on the more humbling side – singing ‘The Sun Whose Rays are all Ablaze’ during a thunderstorm in a posh lady’s back garden while the entire audience sheltered in a barn out of earshot.

Anna lives in South East London. When she’s not writing, she enjoys swimming, watching sport and playing the trumpet (badly) in the City Showtunes Orchestra. She is currently working on her debut novel, The Immaculate Misconception of Barri Brown.
