Caroline Burt is a historian of medieval England and fellow of Pembroke College, Cambridge. She read History at Churchill College, Cambridge, before studying for an MPhil and Ph.D. on Edward I of England. Her first book, Edward I and the Governance of England, was published by Cambridge University Press in 2012. She has also written a number of articles on thirteenth- and fourteenth-century England.

With her co-author Richard Partington (qv), she will soon publish her first trade book Arise, England: Six Kings and the Making of the English State, 1199–1399 (Faber & Faber).
