Cindy Yu
Cindy Yu is a contributing editor at The Times and Sunday Times, where she writes on Chinese society, politics and history, among other things. Prior to this she worked at the Spectator magazine, where she hosted the acclaimed fortnightly podcast Chinese Whispers. She has also written for Foreign Policy and the Daily Telegraph. Born in Nanjing, she speaks and reads Mandarin fluently, and retains family and social connections in China.
Cindy is now working on her first book, for William Collins/HarperCollins.
