Daniel Light
Dan Light studied English Literature and Philosophy at Edinburgh University. As a student he travelled to India, Nepal and South America, and trekked in the Himalaya and the Andes mountain ranges.
Dan has been climbing for twenty years indoors and out. He is a regular at several London climbing walls and as a sport climber he has tackled routes in the Alps, the Pyrenees and the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. When not writing or climbing Dan is co-owner and Commercial Director of Glass Eye, a marketing agency with clients including Disney, Sony and Paramount.
His first book is a history of mountaineering ‘before Everest’. The White Ladder will be published by Oneworld in the UK and by W. W. Norton in the US.
