Ella Bucknall is a writer and illustrator originally from Stockport and now based in South-East London. Prior to an MA in Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts, Ella studied English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford. Ella is an LAHP-funded PhD candidate in Creative Writing at King’s College London, where she is working on a graphic memoir about her grandparents’ pub. Ella’s writing and illustration has appeared in publications such as It’s Nice That, the TLS, the BBC, and I News. Ella was included in The Inking Woman: 250 Years of Women Cartoon and Comic Artists in Britain, published by Myriad Editions in March 2018. Ella is currently working on a graphic biography of Virginia Woolf.
