Georgie Williams (they/them) was born in Poole to a South African and Scottish family and is currently based in East London, United Kingdom. They specialise in transgender, genderqueer, nonbinary and intersex research and education and founded the /Queer project in 2018. Having deferred their doctoral position in Social Justice at University College Dublin in 2019, they decided to commit themself to producing accessible educational materials around the subject of gender, sex and sexuality. These materials- which were produced through interdisciplinary, intersectional and decolonial lenses- first found their debut as the /Queer podcast.
Georgie has worked as a lecturer, researcher, consultant and public speaker, moving between the worlds of DEI, social sciences and data.
Georgie is currently working on their first book.
