Jess Bacon is a freelance writer, culture critic and speaker who specialises in film, digital culture and feminism. With degrees in English Literature and Creative Writing, she writes for publications such as Stylist, Dazed, Cosmopolitan, Teen Vogue, Rolling Stone, GQ, The Guardian, Radio Times, The Telegraph, i and Metro.

She has been a UN Women UK delegate at the Commission for the Status of Women four times, and has appeared on panels, radio shows and podcasts at the BFI and Radio 5 Live.

When she’s not writing, Jess is reading romantasy, at the cinema, devouring new feminist non-fiction or hanging out with her cockapoo puppy, Lois. She lives in Peterborough and is currently working on her first book.
