Jo Arnold is a children’s writer based on a tiny island in the Atlantic, via Buckinghamshire, Devon, Wales, Hertfordshire and London, where she gained a first class degree in English from Queen Mary, University of London.

A wedding planner turned secondary English teacher, she now divides her time between reviewing children’s books (via the popular Instagram thelittleliterarysociety) and writing children’s books whilst also running a school boarding house and looking after three small children who, thankfully, all love books too!

Her debut book, The Shipwreck Atlas, published with Quarto in May 2026. The Atlas of Lost Treasure will publish in May 2027.
