Madhvi grew up in London where she studied English and then Creative Writing at university.
Her first books for children, three stories about Nina and the Travelling Spice Shed are published by Tamarind Press. She has also contributed short stories to the anthologies And Then He Kissed Me (Walker Books) and Too Asian, Not Asian Enough (Tindal Street).
Like her character Nina, Madhvi enjoys having adventures in other countries and currently lives in Berlin with her husband and an imaginary cat.
