Matt Glasby is a writer based in Glasgow. After growing up in Devon obsessed with horror, he studied film at university then moved to Hong Kong and became an entertainment journalist. Back in London, he began covering movies, TV and music for the likes of Total Film, GQ and Radio Times. In 2015, he published his first non-fiction book, A-Z Great Film Directors, followed by the critically acclaimed Britpop Cinema: From Trainspotting to This Is England in 2019. In 2020, he released The Book of Horror: The Anatomy of Fear in Film, a guide to the most frightening movies ever made, which was longlisted for a Bram Stoker Award. He is a member of the Critics’ Circle and the Horror Writers Association. He lives with his wife, two children and cat. Crazywell is his first novel.
