Sarah Mitchell grew up in Norfolk and studied law at Cambridge University. She practised as a barrister in London for 20 years in the field of human rights and European Law before being tempted by an introductory creative writing course at the Open University. That led to her taking an MA in Creative Writing – Prose Fiction at the UEA, which she completed with distinction. She now lives back in Norfolk with her husband and three almost-grown-up children, and combines writing with some legal work.
The Lost Letters, her first novel, was published in August 2018. The Couple was published in February 2019. Her upcoming novel will be published in 2021.
