Saumya Dave is the author of WELL-BEHAVED INDIAN WOMEN and WHAT A HAPPY FAMILY (published by Berkey in the US). WELL-BEHAVED INDIAN WOMEN was selected as “this summer’s fix” by the New York Times Book Review and a Lilly Singh book club pick. WHAT A HAPPY FAMILY was the July book club pick for Good Housekeeping Magazine. Both of her novels have been optioned for television. She is also a psychiatrist, adjunct professor at Mount Sinai, and frequent mental health contributor for NBC News. Saumya’s essays, articles, and poems have been featured in The New York Times, ABC News, Refinery29, and others. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and son.
