Sureka Thanenthiran-Dharuman
Sureka Thanenthiran-Dharuman is Tamil; born in Sri Lanka, raised in Australia. She has adequately disappointed her doctor-mum and engineer-father by always choosing the path furthest from the one they worked hard for upon migrating to a new country.
In 2019, her grandmother who lived with the family, passed away at the age of 101. At the funeral Sureka wrote and read out a eulogy for her. Afterwards, an uncle who isn’t really her uncle hugged her, looked her in the eye and said ‘you should write’. In 2020, the world broke down. Everything came to a halt and she wrote.
She lives in France with her partner and five-year-old son who holds magic within.
