Alegría Adedeji is a writer-director and essayist who focuses on the human condition and the digital age. Her miniseries THERE’S RICE AT HOME screened at Fringe of Colour and was first runner up at the Edinburgh TV Festival’s New Voice Awards 2020. In 2021, she was chosen out of 7000 as winner of the BBC Writersroom’s Interconnected competition and was part of the 2021-22 BBC London Voices cohort. In 2022, she was one of 50 selected for Channel 4’s Momentum scheme; and in 2023, selected to join Various Artists Limited inaugural writer’s lab. Her substack newsletter ‘hONest’ is an exploration and assessment of existential lies and pop-culture.
