The Channel 5 hit show, adapted from James Herriot‘s beloved books, is set to return for its seventh series, bringing viewers back to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

Season 7 is set in 1946, with World War II firmly in the rearview mirror and Skeldale House “once again full, and livelier than ever, as familiar faces reunite under one roof and look ahead to a hopeful new chapter”.

Series seven is lead by head writer and DHA client Neil Jones, who wrote episode 701 and 706.

All Creatures Great and Small season seven begins on 5 at 9pm on Thursday, 17 September.
