Teresa Palmer, Jim Sturgess and Florence Hunt have been cast in the upcoming TV adaptation of Jane Sanderson’s ‘Mix Tape’.
Irish production company Subotica have teamed with ‘Lion’ and ‘Berlin Syndrome’ producers Aquarius Films on the series, with Boat Rocker handling international distribution. The series is already set to air on Australian streaming service Binge.
Palmer and Sturgess will play Alison and Daniel, two friends now living on opposite sides of the planet, who reconnect through a song from their shared past.
Also joining the cast are Mark O’Halloran, Jonathan Harden, Siobhan O’Kelly, Alexis Rodney and Sara Soulié. Jo Spain is adapting the novel, with Lucy Gaffy directing. Aoife O’Sullivan and Tristan Orpen Lynch of Subotica, and Angie Fielder and Polly Staniford of Aquarius Films are producing, with Alison Hurbert-Burns, Lana Greenhalgh and Clare Mirabello, David Fortier, Ivan Schneeberg, Nick Nantell, and Boat Rocker’s Erik Pack serving as executive producers.
“’Mix Tape’ is sure to delight audiences around the globe and hit all the right notes by bringing romance, nostalgia, and music together with artful storytelling for an unforgettable series,” said Pack, SVP global sales and co-production at Boat Rocker Studios.
