The Husbands has been shortlisted for the Comedy Women In Print Prize

We’re so pleased to announce that The Husbands by Holly Gramazio has been shortlisted for the 2025 Comedy Women In Print Prize.

The shortlists were unveiled across three categories: Published Novel, the Unpublished Novel and the Self-Published Novel.

The Published Novel shortlist, chosen by a celebrated panel of judges that includes Kerry Godliman, Ingrid Oliver and Ranvir Singh, “offers four debut novels, and celebrates anarchic, daring writers, some drawing on political landscapes and worlds far beyond the domestic arena,” organisers said.

They added: “The absurdity of ‘funny sad’ and ‘out of the box’ thinking makes this year’s list stand out as an evolved celebration of contemporary writing.

The Comedy Women in Print Prize seeks to celebrate and shine a light on witty women writers. The CWIP Prize was launched by actress, author and stand-up comedian Helen Lederer in 2019 as a literary platform to increase exposure for diverse female voices in comedy writing and as a way of celebrating fresh and established talent.

A panel of judges will choose the winner ahead of the Winners Event on 3rd November 2025. For details of the prize’s timetable and the full longlist, click here.
