Richard Partington is Senior Tutor and a Fellow in History at St John’s College, University of Cambridge. He researches and lectures on late-medieval politics, law and war, especially in the reign of Edward III. Having grown up in Liverpool, he studied History at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge in the late 1980s before holding academic positions there and at Churchill College, Cambridge. His career has focused upon widening participation, and improving student academic performance and welfare, as well as teaching.

In spring 2024 Faber will publish his first trade book, Arise, England: Six Kings and the Making of the English State, co-authored with Caroline Burt (qv).
